fix(bench): the npm benchmark says why a command failed (the load generator's stderr), not just its exit statusrichiemcilroy · Oct 10, 2026
fix(npm): Tov's JavaScriptCore starts with TVInitialize, which makes the thread its contexts run on the engine's main run loop: on Linux the first full collection crashed without one (its timer asks the memory pressure handler, whose own timer goes on the main run loop); rebuild the engine with scripts/jsc/build.shrichiemcilroy · Oct 10, 2026
fix(runtime): a server's sockets are close-on-exec, so a child it starts (ffmpeg, say) doesn't hold its connections or its port: on Linux epoll kept reporting a connection closed here while a child held a copy, and the server used the freed connection (Cap's media server crashed, 'double free or corruption', under /audio/extract); accepted with accept4 there, one syscall instead of threerichiemcilroy · Oct 10, 2026
fix(bench): map_insert's C runs on Linux (strdup, undeclared under -std=c11 with glibc, returned an int and the program crashed)richiemcilroy · Oct 10, 2026
fix(bench): the npm service benchmark waits until the server answers instead of a second (a first run on a fresh machine took longer, and the load found nothing listening)richiemcilroy · Oct 10, 2026
